Spår av jordbruk
Sädeskorn har lämnat avtryck i keramikskärvor. Kol i marken visar att växtlighet bränts. När man sådde i askan blev det bra skörd. Flintyxor hittas ofta där marken bränts. Har man ringbarkat träden för att de skulle brinna bättre? Bilder ristade i berget visar hur marken plöjs. I marken finns det spår av hur årdret har ristat fåror härs och tvärs. Pollen av säd har bevarats i mossar. Man har hittat förkolnade sädeskorn.
Traces of farming
Grains have left their traces on pottery shards. Coal in the ground indicates that vegetation has been burnt. When they sowed in the ash the harvest was good. Flint axes are often found where the land has been burnt. Have they used them to ringbark the trees and get them to burn better? Rock carvings show us how the land was ploughed. There are traces in the ground of how the blade of the plough has cut furrows hither and thither. Pollen from grains have been preserved in bogs. Charred seeds have been found.
