The headman's hall
A thousand years ago and more they started building halls for their leaders. These halls were considerably larger than other houses, with massive roof poles and bulging walls. Those who lived here were wealthy. In the remains of these dwellings small sheets of gold have been discovered on which human figures have been engraved.
